Sort before adding structure

Empty one drawer, remove items that belong elsewhere, and group the things you use together. Try a temporary arrangement with boxes you already have. The aim is easier access, not filling every inch.

Choose flexibility or contained compartments

Adjustable dividers can work for long items and changing layouts. Individual trays can contain smaller items and lift out for cleaning. Check drawer interior dimensions, including usable height beneath the cabinet frame.

Check how the organizer stays put

Read the mounting or tension instructions and check material compatibility. Avoid applying excessive tension to a delicate drawer. Leave enough room to pick up items without moving another compartment.
